Celestron NexStar Evolution 8 HD with StarSense
Celestron has further expanded the Evolution series with the 8 inch Edge HD telescope. The Edge HD has improved optics compared to the conventional Schmidt Cassegrain design. This translates into images that are sharp right up to the edges. This is mainly a huge plus for astrophotography. However, this improvement is also visible for visual observation. The Edge HD optical tube is a very suitable telescope both visually and for astrophotography. There are 2 buttons on the back of the telescope to fix the mirror, ideal for astrophotography. The third button is to focus the image, but this is only possible if the other 2 buttons are loose. With the optional wedge you can take even better photos with the Evolution 8 HD, this ensures even more accurate tracking of the objects. The StarSense ensures the alignment of the telescope. With the supplied hand controller you only have to do a few actions and the telescope will align itself. The StarSense also works excellently with the wifi function in combination with the SkyPortal app from Celestron. Once you are connected to the WiFi function of your smartphone or tablet and you open the app, you can immediately choose StarSense alignment.
